We are still trying to prove ourselves that we are equal. Sometimes women forget that we are equal and proof isn't needed, but egos get in the way. Then add in PMS, Husbands, and all the things we are responsible for....well do the math!! lol

One Word. "Competition".
For some reason women feel as if everything must be a competition with other women in order to prove themselves. They want to be the smartest, prettiest, and most-liked. I have experienced this in every job and even quit some jobs because of it. For some reason I am always the girl being attacked, even though I am one of the nicest girls. They judge me before they even get to know me. They think that just because I take care of my appearance and I am extremely nice that I am out to hurt their egos or something? I don't exactly get what sparks this behavior. My only guess is insecurities within themselves and the want/need for male attention. I don't let this problem affect me personally anymore. It is going to be like this until I get older and work with more mature females. Ignore it and keep being the wonderful woman you are!

Because women are emotional and unfortunately tend to be catty and petty. I am a woman and have found out that when working with women it tends to be a lot of competition about absoultely nothing of important. So yes we are emotional and have a tendency to be petty and catty

Women are emotional, competitve, and have to deal with hormonal issues. Get a bunch of women working together and someones always going to be PMSing. A co-worker of mine once said (after hearing me b*tch one too many times):
Marianna, you're either pre-menstral, post-menstral, ovulating or on your period, get over it!!
So, there ya go!!

I would imagine alot has to do with hormones. When women spend time together, their hormones tend to align, and they start menstruating at the same time.
