Sometimes dreams are visions..,
which is warning of what will happen or an answer to something you've been wondering...
but as far as dreams...
they are from the subconcious part of your brain
you dream what you've been thinking about for a while...

Dreams have plenty of meanings, in some cultures dreams are regarded as just as important than waking life. Some people say that dreams make up for what you lack in waking life, others say it's the minds way of solving problems. Some say that dreams are about your soul and take place in the astral realm. Taking copious amounts of vitamin b-6 or vitamin b12 (can't remember which) can help you remember dreams but giving yourself affirmations that you will remember your dreams is just as good. Dreams have a habit of being brutally honest so the best meaning for a dream is the one you give it because those books on dream interpretation are a load of balls. My worst nightmare was when I woke up dead and I've been that way ever since.
Good question, if you are serious about dreams you can get a book from Stephen LaBerge, something about lucid dreaming and you can in fact wake up in your dreams (but still be in the dream), where you can exploit the situation, for example you could make it with someone that you couldn't in waking life, but its best for flying and creating bolts of lightening.

Yes. When I was young I had a dream that my whole family was on a canoe, but when we came to a stop, they let my mother off of the canoe, and I didn't have time to follow her out. The canoe left my mother at the stop, and me as well as the rest of my family, stayed on the canoe and went down a river, not seeing her again. I had that dream repeatedly until I was 8 years old, and that's when my mother died. So, in a way, she was the only one to leave my family, as we stayed on the canoe in the river of life, and she went to stay a stop called heaven. I had 2 more dreams like this about my grandmother and Aunt, my grandmother died, and when I dreamed that my Aunt would have a stroke, she did. I believe that dreams can have meanings, for me, some are like premonitions for the future, but they can mean other things also.
Oh, and my worst nightmare, was when I was thrown down the drain by Dracula....

Dreams have meanings but books are just guidelines to help you understand your dreams. They give you a baseline on how to interpret them. the best way to interpret your own dreams is to keep a journal and write your dreams down first thing when you wake up. then analize them according to your life....... sometimes the answers dont come right away
the worst nightmare i ever had was watching my family die right before my eyes and there was nothing I could do because i was being swept away by water that came flooding all of a sudden

I bought one of those dream books once, and a lot of the descriptions were very vague and were probably made up (There were so many 'dreams' that mean you're coming into money... They can't all possibly mean the same thing.) But I do believe that dreams are your subconscious trying to give you some information of some sort.

Many of my dreams are really complex and they're full of hidden messages. However, it takes a long time for me to figure these meanings out and sometimes sends me to sleep.
I had a dream recently. I could remember the dream vividly in that I could remember what happened. I'm not sure how I ended up in that situation but I remember what was said and that I met some people. However, I cannot remember their faces. If I could remember their faces and remember how I got to that situation in my dream, maybe I could learn something. Maybe it was relating to my waking life in some way?

Well of course dreams do have meaning. This is a very interesting subject explained in detail by Sigmund Frued. In short a dream is the combination of the images which you saw the the whole day before going to sleep and the ideas which are forced to be kept in the sub-conscious by repressive mechanism.
Sigmund Frued says that dream is the royal road to the subconsiousness. His book the interpretation of dreams is authority on the subject.

Dreams have no meaning. The books and gumpf written about dreams are made for people like you who ask over and over about the meaning of dreams. They are written by people who claim to know the answers but at the end of the day they are only the writers interpretation. Save your money and tell your friends to do the same. Sleep dreams never come true.

Yes I believe some dreams have meaning. If you have a dream and it sticks with you for a while and you can not get it off your mind, I believe there is something to it. I've had dreams before that have actually happened and all the sudden that dream will come to me.

Dreams do have meaning. Dreams are sub-conscious revalations of what one should expect in the near future. God can also talk to some one through dreams, giving an insight into what is to come. Many dreams have come true and have become live happenings.
