I don't really know, but the same reason potatoe chips aren't a vegetable, I guess. I like to call them vegetables with an attitude; and don't be so hard on yourself. I've been called worse.

Have no clue but it's one of my favorite snacks....maybe it's because of the added oil, salt, and other seasonings.....Happy Snacking!
