People put their pets in microwaves, freezers, and many other things. How can they be so cruel to such cute things!

Because there is a stupid idea about humans being the centre of the universe (wether the reason for this is religious or not, it doesn't change the fact)... So many people think that animals are there for our own utility, and so they're somehow 'ours'... As everyone knows, if we think something is ours, then we suposse we have the right to do with it whatever we wanto to. That's the mainly reason why.
Of course, there are also sadistic ones who are afraid of damaging other people and prefer to do it to animals just because they don't speak, and on the other hand, there are young pshycopaths too, who don't have a real sense of guilty because of their mental problems and just relish on doing bad things to the weak ones.

Because they are neglected, feel left alone, and are hurt by the world, so they take their anger out on defenseless things. I am not saying that it's right, but people need to see the tormenter's side of the story. Everything has a reason, and their's is that they need to let loose their anger. Really, all their anger that's being unleashed upon those animals is just hate from US passed into THEM.

They may not think they are cute. Yes, some people may be psychopaths or are mentally ill. Or they get a joy out of being in control and causing harm to others. Animals may be able not fight back like a human could, if they are small.

Because they are psychopaths! People like Jeffery Dahmer & most other serial murderers started out doing things like that as kids, then progressed on to people. It is a sign. I read Jim Jones (cult leader who had followers drink cyanide laced kool-aid) used to kill neighborhood pets & then have funeral services for them.
This is why if anyone knows of a child that abuses animals, they should get them help as soon as possible.

They are working up their nerve to attack humans. Most serial killers etc started by hurting/killing/torturing etc animals. They start small, and work their way up to bigger prey. Some ppl do the freezer thing because they can't afford euthanasia and think that it's a humane way to go.

If you are around or have children who are around freaks that do this--don't be casual about it. I have read several articles and studies where research has shown that most murderers, rapists, child molesters, etc. especially where viloence is involved, these people started by abusing animals. It shouldn't be taken lightly.
