Cheetah is the SUPERFAST! It is no doubt the fastest CREATURE in the world ON LAND.
The Only animal that comes in close second to the AMAZING SPEED of Cheetah is its meal / prey the GAZELLE (not Greyhound!).To catch up with its meal as SWIFT as the wind, Cheetah has to run faster than the Gazelle or go without food -starve.
So Cheetah has to use its stealth & be in close quarters to the Gazelle & run & catch it. as the Cheetah can maintain its speed upto 300 yards & not more!
What a Beauty of Creation!
What about Greyhound's speed?

cheetah, they can run up to 75mph....greyhounds can't. greyhounds can run a longer time though...cheetahs will lose their energy pretty quickly after running that fast.

well I'm like the 12th answer, so I'm clearly not one to compete, but I think that the cheetah is a bit faster...where would the ostrich compare?
