Larry Johnson:
For him= He's an extremely talented running back in a new system designed for pounding the ball. (Coach Herm Edwards back on the Jets with Curtis Martin)
Against him= First, bennett as a backup has to cause a little bit of concern for fantasy points on account of his talent. And who can forget that the O-line took a HUGE drop off from Willie Roaf retiring. Another thing fantasy players are forgetting is that the starting Pro Bowl RG has retired as well. As a great coach once said, "It starts and ends in the trenches." No line, no win.
Lowdown- Riskiest player- he will either get the coveted #1 RB numbers or at well out of the top 3...
L. Tomlinson:
For him- Well, lets see: New young QB means he'll be the main support. The less comfortable Rivers feels, the more he'll hand the ball off to LT.
Against him- Last year he had a nagging injury that took him out (statistically) of the final 4 games. Also, he has an up-and-coming backup RB to steal some points away.
Lowdown- L.T. is the safest bet in the top trio of backs. Also, don't get scared away by the San Diego's backup RB... I read that the Chargers are planning to line up L.T. as a receiver whenever he doesn't play RB.

Every site and sports company for the NFL has Larry Johnson ranked #1. If there's one thing that you should know it's that, you CANNOT lose taking either one.
The Real question is, who do you take in the second round?
LT is the most proven / consistent running back.
LJ had an awesome 2005 year in just 9 games. Barring any set backs, Statistics will show that he is bound to break Sean Alexanders TD record this year.

Larry Johnson.
People question Herm Edwards, but look how well Curtis Martin did during his tenure. L.J. has low miles, and KC still has an excellent line with TE and WRs who BLOCK.
LT is going to face "8 in the box" every week with Rivers at the helm. San Diego is having problems filling a tackle position on the line. L.T. will get his, but you give the nod to L.J.
The good news is, both should be excellent. I just think LT is going to wear down.
If you go for LT, handcuff Michael Turner.

the question should be Larry Johnson or Shaun Alexander. LT is #3. But the answer is still Larry Johnson.

LT without a doubt. Manning is a TERRIBLE 1st pick. NEVER pick a QB in the first round...NEVER.
LJ is gonna miss OT Roaf AND FB Richardson. LT is gonna be the go-to guy for Rivers in passing situations and of course he will carry the RB load.

LT! He runs for yards and TD's, he throws touchdown passes, and catches a lot of passes, too. Johnson is a beast, but they've lost their best offensive lineman and will probably have to play catch up quite a bit due to their weak defense. LaDanian is the man!

I would still take Shawn Alexander. He is in the softest division in football. Remember he will play San Fran, St. Louis, and The Cards twice!

LT. he's the most consistant RB, and the most proven. he is also a double threat as a receiver and runner.
