Many times I am unable to go out in the same meld that I make my second canasta and other people do it to me all the time. Why won't it let me meld the canasta to go out. The other people do it to me and if it won't let me then how could I ever go out concealed? It's a constant in 2 player 2 card 2 canasta. I couldn't find a definition in the rules section???

You cannot go out on a canasta if it is the last canasta you need to be allowed to go out... meaning your very last card cannot make up the canasta if for example you need two canastas to go out, and you are trying to go out on that 2nd canasta.

If you need two canastas to go out, and you are working on your second canasta... you will need one extra card to either meld or dicard in order to accomplish going out.

If you already have your two canastas (or one, depending on the game option), then you can go out on your 3rd canasta (or 2nd... if you chose 1 canasta).

Did I confuse you?

Where are you playing?

I play on Pogo---4 plyr, 2 canastas to go out, with wilds allowed on opening meld. You can't go out until you have 2 canastas on the board.

After one player goes out, and discards into discard pile, can the next play pick up the deck, or is the game over?
