I have a HP all-in-one 7310. I know how to scan, the problem is I need to edit the text file. I have an employment application I am trying to scan in and them complete the application but everytime I am not allowed to fill out the application. Any suggestions? There has to be a way, I've tried word, pdf, etc.

You need an OCR program to be able to edit. Look at ABBYY Fine Reader - might be the best OCR out there. There are also a few free ones that you can download of the web. They don't work as well as ABBYY but it should get the job done.

HP comes with software (I don't have HP my self) for a scan to text option. just play with it for a while.
