Why do youths wear baggy jeans with the backside hanging somewhere round their knees, with the leg bottoms dragging on the floor getting wet, filthy and ragged. Do they know how idiotic that looks?

Ew... I absolutely hate that style, I also hate the huge baggy white t-shirt 10 sizes to large. My social studies teacher told my class that the look originally came from prisoners because their belts got taken away so they couldn't strangle themselves or others. Then the prisoners would get out of jail and the kids and teenagers would seem them beltless and looking like slobs and admire their "coolness" they wanted to be just like the former prisoners so they bought their clothes like that and then it just started to snowball. I don't know if that is true but that is just what the teacher said. Yuck... I can't wait for that to go out of style.

I wear my jeans on my hips where they belong, but because i am only 5'1" the bottoms usually do drag and get nasty over time. I don't really care how it looks...if they made some that actually fit me (and no the short/petite's are STILL too long) then i might agree with you.

I totally agree with you!!! They look so stupid, and when they walk the hold up their pants! It's like they never heard of a belt!

it's a trend but it will go out of style soon. Look at how 70s styles look so stupid now
