A graph is a chart, but a chart isn't necessarily a graph.

Just like a ship is a boat, but a boat isn't necessarily a ship. :-)

Anyways, there are other charts that aren't graphs, like the yahoo points chart, for example!

(Oh, and if it's just a choice between A, B, and C, C's the correct answer as stated)

There are several different kinds of charts such as bar graphs, line graphs, pie charts, etc. Choice A would not be correct because usually it is the other way around the graph shows exact numbers. The only problem with this question is that it is slightly general and doesn't specify what kinds of graphs or charts. I would probably go with Choice C because graphs are usually very helpful when trying to figure out the overall picture of a trend. I am assuming that this is a question for homework so it also depends on the context that this question is from. However, I still go with Choice C as my final answer.

A graph is a kind of chart. Kinds of charts are line, bar, mountain, dot, etc.
