and by the way, I am Native American and proud of it. My people were here before any others. And furthermore, the average person on the street has been doiing the jobs they have taken away! How did all that stuff get done before?!!!! or was America just discovered yesterday?????!!!!!

I have to agree on getting rid of "W" he is easily the worst president in recent history. Our economy is terrible. What I do not understand is the people who claim "invasion of the Mexicans" . Take a look at Mexico, children are forming gangs and robbing both people and businesses. The water is very polluted and there are no jobs. Personally I would want to leave Mexico too as I'm sure you would. These people are trying to take care of their families. Is that so wrong? Don't be so judgmental until you have seen things through their eyes.

Hey! Don't you know that 99% of the illegal Mexican and South American immigrants aren't harming anyone! They are picking our fruits and vegetables and cleaning our office buildings and mowing our lawns. They are hard-working, honest people who just want a better life for their children - just like your OWN great-grandparents did! This country has always prospered on the backs of immigrant labor.
It would cost us trillions of dollars to try to build a wall and round them up and deport them. We should make them LEGAL (unless they have committed a crime), so that they can pay taxes like the rest of us. Then they wouldn't be a burden on the school systems and medicaid. In fact, this is the ONLY thing I have approved of George Bush doing since he became president!!!!!!!!!
Everyone IN America is an immigrant, including the Native American tribes who originally migrated out of Africa thousands of years ago.

My ancestors immigrated to this country during the potato famine in Ireland. It was a chance to start over anew. I feel that anyone who would be 1.) willing to learn to read and write in English, 2.)learn and follow our laws, and 3.) find gainful employment (so as not to burden others) should have the opportunity to become citizens of this great country. Seal the borders and do not let anyone in who cannot show progress towards these requirements. Deport anyone who has been here for a year and does not show progress.

And, naturally, it's all Bush's fault! How did so many millions of Mexicans, who incidentally aren't the only illegals that are here, get into this country in so short a time as six years? That's how long he's been President? Did they all start coming into the States when he was first elected in 2000? Get a grip! What invasion? If you live in Texas, it belonged to Mexico first. If you live in California, part of it is on the border. We all came from somewhere. The only people who are true citizens of the US are American Indians. Our ancestors came from across the ocean, some came from across the borders. Mexicans are as much as part of the US as anyone else. Get over it. When Mexicans started coming to Arkansas, there was a huge welcome campaign and now they want to get rid of them because they say they are taking their jobs. They aren't taking their jobs; they are doing the jobs that the Arkansans don't want to do. I am sick of people talking about Mexicans. Call them Latinos or Hispanics. A "mexican" will give you the shirt off his back if you are in need. Go to their country and see how polite they are to Americans. We could take a lesson from them.

If these people are willing to come here to the United States of American and do jobs that Americans are not willing to do , we should welcome them with open arms. This means if they are legal they pay taxes and sepnd more money in the USA. I do feel they should recieve fair and just compensation for the day or week or month or year they worked. What are you afraid of? Much of the work every day is done by illegal mexicans because they can not afford the papers to become legal. One time in the past we were all immigrants to this fine country usa and if you kick one out then everyone except the native americans should leave.

There is not going to be any revolt of the American people and there is not going to be any impeachment of George W. Bush...
Presidents have been shamefully neglecting their duty to protect our southern border for many many years...
And yes, we have a SERIOUS problem with illegal immigarants from mexico however the problem would be a LOT worse for Mexico if we sent all the illegals back and sealed our borders..
Mexico would collapse...This is not saying we should not send the illegals back to Mexico and seal the borders because we should...

I do not like the fact that "we" Americans have to learn spanish just to make it easier on immigrants. I don't have a problem with immigrants, as long as they are legal and speak English. As one other poster said, we are all immigrants (technically). But if you are going to live in our country, speak our language, be legal and pay taxes just like everyone else. It really bugs me that the illegal immigrants live here for free, use our medical facilities (b/c they can't refuse to care for someone) and guess who pays for that medical care? WE do, honest tax-paying AMERICAN, ENGLISH-SPEAKING citizens.

I support the Minutemen. I support NG troops on the border. I support no automatic citizenship for "jackpot" babies. I support HUGE fines levied against the employers of illegal aliens. I support IMMEDIATE deportation or trial as a subversive foreign agent. I support making illegal aliens felons.
I support all of this. Where is the "support" of our current administration?
