If you could only have two senses, what would it be?

Mine would have to be seeing and hearing.

And why would you choose those?

I would like to see because I would miss everything and someone could be doing something (like stealing my stuff) and I wouldn't be able to see them. Hearing because I would like to hear music and television and people talking.

Taste and Sight. You could learn sign language if you can't hear and the best way to tell someone you love them is not saying anything at all but doing things. With smell there is so much pollution in the world that smell would be the first I'd get rid of. I'm picky about what I touch anyway, some things will have me washing my hands all day and a lot of things you touch in this world can hurt (fire, weapons, sharp objects).

Hmmm, good one. I will keep my sight please as I value that above all the rest - you can still feel a part of life even if you can't hear, smell, taste or touch I would think. But, if you are letting me keep another one then I will have my hearing back as well. The other senses are tactile ones that do enhance quality of life but sight and hearing are about functioning in life.

That's why people without these senses are acknolwedged in society as having impairments. You hear people saying they have no sense of smell or that they've desensitised their taste buds with too many curries etc, but people rarely rate these as disabilities in themselves. Nope, let me keep on seeing and hearing and you can keep the rest!

Touch and sight. I don't think I would like not being able see, I would miss too much. Touch because I would want to be able to feel a hug, or touch different textures.

sight and taste because I can speak and hear in my head through memory and could you imagine spending your whole life with everything tasting the same. how boring is that?

Touch because no matter what happened i could feel the energy,excitement and size of my growing children,
Taste because food is our route to survival and i just love the vast varities of food and drink available to us lucky people in todays modern world.

Sound and taste. Without taste, there'd just be mush rolling around in your mouth, and that's a gross thought; without sound, I couldn't hear musc, and I would die.

Sight you don't need (people are blind); feel you can get away with not having it by being careful (and without feeling there is no pain); smell is unnecessary - there are a lot of things I could live with not smelling for the rest of my life.

My first two thoughts were touch and sight. I think life would just be too difficult (for me) without those.

Touch to feel my daughters arms hug me tight
Hearing to hear my children's laughter
Sight to see my children grow
Smell to remind me to stop and smell the roses
Taste to eat the cookies my daughters bake for me....I cannot pick just two, I would miss out on to much!

thats a hard question, i would definitly need sight and sound for music, touch and taste, i can do away with smell its hard tho. u need them all!
