I am afraid of water, but not the water iself. First off when I was 4 i watched jaws, so i thought all the pools had killer sharks in them. Secondly my dad made me get in a lake when i was 7 and a bunch of fish and snakes were sliding inbetween my legs. So to this day i will never swim in a swimming pool without it being daylight outside, and someone else in the pool with me. Also, since the lake incident i have never ever, and never will get into a body of water. Its so bad that when I was wading in an ankle deep river and realized there were minnows in it i froze in place for an hour and prayed the fish wouldnt touch me

I go swimming, but won't go out on a boat. Why? When I was about 8 my brother took me out on a boat that he & my uncle had build it was maybe 16 foot (A Dingy in my book). And we went out to the Bay that was cool. Then he decided to go out to the OCEAN well I thought I was going to DIE that day. Haven't been on a boat since. That was 36 years ago.

Only if dropped out in the middle of the ocean because I couldn't swim 20 miles!!

Damn right.!!!! which is why my children have been swimming since they were in diapers, cause if somthing goes wrong, i can't save them or myself. but i'm an adult and can avoid situations which would cause me ''death by drowning'' I did go to St. Petersburgh the water was beautiful......i only went in as deep as my knees!!!!!!

Only water I can't see to the bottom. I am terrified of something grabbing me and pulling me under.

no i love to swim but im affraid of frozen lakes and falling through into that water my friend just died from falling through ice last year and now that freaks me out

when i was younger i was afraid i really hate it to do to swimming lesson but since i saw the ocean swimming there i luv it

deep water.
b/c i`ve almost died drowning about 5 different times.and this year at a family reunion,my 'best cousin'(not anymore!)
said she`d help me if i went under(i never swim,i can't swim and she wanted me 2 go in the deep end)i went under and she didn`t help me.then when i grabbed her she went under and got mad at me......i hate the deep end!!!
