”I'm not the one who broke you
I'm not the one you should fear
We got to move you darling
I thought I lost you somewhere
But you were never really ever there at all
And I want to get free, talk to me
I can feel you fallin'
And I wanted to be, all you need
Somehow here is gone”

Hey Answer Schmancer, thanks alot for your answer. :) Im sorry that things did work out between you and your Ex-girlfriend. And yeah i know what you mean, i feel like i can relate to these words alot too. The lyrics are from this song called "Here Is Gone" by The Goo Goo Dolls. Check it out if you get a chance. Im glad you liked it. I wish you the best of luck with everything. :))

It seems to me that there are two people...one of which is reaching out to the other trying to help them, love them, show them something better. The other is a person who has a "wall" built up and is afraid to let someone in to love them, help them. They both feel lost and are losing today!

It means that i really have no idea what John Resznick is thinking when he's writing songs for the Goo Goo Dolls, because when on paper, the lyrics make no sense at all.

I think it's about someone who closed them self off and got lost in the midst leaving the other person to question why and how.

Ummmm......it makes me think of this girl, who was insecure because she'd been hurt before. The narrator is trying to tell her that he's not the one who hurt her. But she has problems trusting men now, and she never fully gave herself to him.

What is this from? It completely describes my relationship with my Ex.

Someone who has let past relationships interfere with the present one. Not everyone is the same.
