Well, I have to wait another day- my waiver priority is 8th, but take the chance and rid Brees for Warner?

I thought that Brees would stil lbe Brees in NO, but the trade of Stallworth hurt- and he goes from the easiest passing schedule in San Diego to one of the toughest in NO
Warner is vulnerable to injury, but he still has Boldin, Edge, Fitz, and Leonard Pope- even 10 games from him could eclipse a season from Brees, true?

both of them have question marks regarding health, so it's a hard call. i would go to brees because he doesn't really have anyone behind him to take his job. if you do get warner, make sure you have a good number2 back-up.

I am not so sure that would be a good move true Brees does have a rougher go but Warner will probably only play 4-6 games before they start playing Matt L so a full season from Brees is probably better than a third of one from Warner.

Stay the course with Drew Brees. Kurt Warner hasn't been the same since all of the injuries he suffered with the Rams. Matt Leinart will be the starter in AZ before the end of the season.

depends who your #1 is. In general, I'd say picking up Warner would be a good move.
But if you have a stud #1 (Manning, Brady, Palmer - someone that you would never bench except on a bye week), check out the matchups for their bye week, and also the matchups for your fantasy playoff weeks.
If Brady has a week 6 bye and he's your #1, see who Brees and Warner have - because that's when you're going to need them. Also check weeks 16 and 17 (if you use week 17), because guys like Manning and Brady tend to sit or play very little in the last game of the year.

I'd just make sure to have a reliable backup. Brees' passes have been sailing in the offseason, warner has looked sharp. But he gets hurt often and Leinart looks good. If warner stays healthy he will put up the better numbers. Saints will struggle, I think.

Warner WILL get hurt. Brees WILL make plays.
The real question is how long will Warner last and How long will it take Brees to click in NO.
I think Brees will be better off personally.

Yes, drop for Warner IF you have a backup (maybe Leftwich?)
The NFC West is horrible, and I think Warner will shred defeses, continuing what he did late last year.
Brees has a fairly serious injury for a QB, and he doesn't have nearly the escape valves that Warner does. Zach Hilton is no Antonio Gates.
Either way, you are in for some pain down the line.

I would stick with Brees. The Saints offense is gonna depend on a lot of short pass to Bush. Brees is gonna get all of those yards added to his stats because of Bush's YAC. Kinda like Thurman Thomas was for Buffalo back in the day.

I would drop Brees to pick up Warner, but ONLY if Matt Leinart is still available for you to pick up as a back up.
