Tony Blair promotes 'Early Intervention' to sort out anti-social behaviour - are we now into a 'slave society'

Films and books such as '1984' and 'Minority Report' predicted this, whereby you looked at a child and you could predict what they would be like 10 -20 years in the future. Are we now entering a very scary brave new world?

Alarm bells rang for me when Blair said that if the parents didn't allow intervention they would stop their benefits. Firstly why would we assume that these children were born to people on benefits and secondly loosing benefits is hardly going to help the said families.

If social workers are going to intervene on such families that 'might' be raising children that are going to be anti social, whose standards are the families to meet. Middle class people doing middle class work have different lifestyles and expectations from that of the working class, and they are the people going to be setting the standards

whats next? steralising young adults that don't meet the standards of middle class society.

Social Services is already in place to help children that are being abused or deprived, this next step is nonsence

I was always led to believe you should practice what you preach, Tony Blair is a hypocrite, not into politics myself but can see that Tony actually promotes anti-social behaviour indirectly. It's been a slave soceity for a long time, it's in fact such a good one that people do not even realise they are slaves, films exaggerate the point but the point is you are a slave just as much as me. Then we die.

There is little doubt of this possibility (probability). In fact, we may also be moving ever-the-more closer to a "neo-feudalist" society -complete with "lords" (& serfs): As the multi-national dynasties increase their controls over nearly every aspect of our existence, we will be ever-the-more "at the mercy" of their passion plays - whilst they "juxtaposition for power" or jockey for ever-increased 'holdings' /wealth (and influence). Moreover, their increasing 'stranglehold' will become ever-the-more decisively inextricable to the point where nothing short of "open rebellion" against the state, will allow for a return of "power to the people." And IF they manage to "control" all the smart "embedded systems" - machines/ robotic systems imbued with state-of-the-art "atificial intelligence," then things certainly could become more ugly than we could ever possibly imagine. Just look at the political trends of today... the writing is on the wall!

We are, however, collectively responsible - each of us has some culpability, for letting this "thing" we now face, become so evidently "Orwellian" and so insidiously entrenched. What's most important to remember, is that we are all "at choice" in each moment of "space-time:" And now, more than ever, we need a participatory, clear-headed, and deliberative populace capable of reaching viable concenses & clarifications in an expeditious manner... if there is to be a re-sanctification of society's interests and a return to eco-cultural sanity! Now, as the multiple "cusps of catastophe" approach, our time for complacency is at its end, or our state-of-the-species is at such risk that our continuing apathy would indeed be fool-hearty.

No, but this is a complex society this species has developed, and the utopian, free society we all desire obviously does not work. He is using the term "anti-social" as a euphemism for "criminal" because that term would be politically incorrect to apply to children.

I think we're entering an age when the moral, conforming society is in thrall to the anti-social minority. Look at increase of drive-by shootings, school violence, war, greed, crimes of all sort. No more leaving your doors unlocked, folks - at anytime!!
