You need to save money, not get loans. Loans are a recipe for chasing one's tail, unless they are being used to make money.

If that gas bill is an error, you should try to resolve that so it won't affect your credit rating.

A good way to get some good credit is to get a credit card and pay it off in full every month. If you pay it off in full, you will not have to pay any interest. If you don't pay it off in full, you will be charged interest.

I got one when I was 18 with a $500 limit and they increase my limit every year. 9 years later they jacked up my limit to over $13,000. Just be careful to only charge what you can afford, you would use the credit card instead of cash, then use your cash to pay it off at the end of the month. It's a great way to collect Air Miles too and get some free stuff out of it. I got a ton of free groceries and free movies.

Definitely call the credit bureau and dispute the gas bill-
Then start building a credit history by getting a credit card like the other responder suggested.

Why not just pay off your bills and forget the loan?

Interest charges on something like what you are looking for are going to be steep.
