So many for today i'll say. It's a Wonderful Life
This is one of the best films of all time, without a doubt. I challenge anyone to watch this film and not be touched, if you can, you have no heart! James Stewart is one of my favorite actors, and in this film he acts so naturally you even forget he's an actor playing a part, you really believe his story. You're pulled on a roller coaster of emotions throughout this film, and by no means is this a light hearted look at life, as many believe. This is not a rose tinted look at the wonderful life we have, this is a dark, downtrodden start to a film where the lead character is about to commit suicide.
However, it is a beautiful film, and is one of the few that you can watch again and again and walk away with the same glowing feeling as you did when you first watched it.
And if you've never noticed this before, watch for it next time you watch this movie. It very obvious. Just before George speaks to Harry on the phone, George removes a wreath from his arm and places it on a table. The wreath immediately reappears on his arm.

I'll never forget when I first saw Fellowship Of The Ring at a West End cinema. I didn't even WANT to see it. I thought there was no way you could film that book. But my girlfriend made me go, and ten minutes in, I was hooked. An hour in, I'd forgotten where I was. I'd forgotten WHO I was. And when the film ended, I couldn't get it out of my head. For months. In fact, I had to go see it again, and that has never happened before of since. Every other film I saw that year (Gangs of New York, Spider-Man, Panic Room) seemed just ordinary after that. The wait for The Two Towers was agonising. I felt how people must have felt seeing Star Wars in 1977. Sorry if I sound a bit nerdy, but Fellowship just blew me away.
