Fresh air
Smoking cannabis and tobacco both cause you to inhale toxic chemicals which can cause lung cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, impair your lung defences and make you more prone to lower respiratory infections.
Both are as bad.
At least if you smoke enough cannabis you won't worry about it. However, if you smoke too much you might just get paranoid!
There are additional mental health risks with smoking cannabis.

They are both the same. If you smoked the same amount of pot as you do cigarettes you would be causing the same amount of damage. When putting any foreign substance in our lungs you will get a negative result. It is unfair to say that cigarettes are worse than weed because there have not been nearly as many studies done on weed.
If I had to go with one go with the weed man! You can actually enjoy it, you don't smell like an ashtray, and you can have fun with your friends!! haha just kidding

I don't know that this has actually been studied, but there are arguments either way.
Marijuana is not generally smoked with the frequency as tobacco cigarettes, therefore less exposure. They also generally lack the added chemicals that cigarette manufacturers add and have been shown to be carcinogenic. Marijuana is not as addictive, and people are not as likely to smoke it for many decades of their lives.
On the other side: Marijuana smokers inhale very deeply and hold it in for a long period of time. Marijuana cigarettes are generally unfiltered, allowing larger particles of the burned materials to get into their respiratory tree.
I say use it in cooking, find a way to ingest it into your alimentary canal, then, no contest=> marijuana is safer, hands down.

none is BETTER than the other, but probably less worse. i think weed is "better" since it's the natural plant what yo're smoking, instead of cigarettes which are full of chemicals that are in fact what damages your lounges. Nicotine, tar, etc. Weed does not contain those elements, so i think what's damaging from weed is the paper lol.
On the other hand, you can smoke a cigarette while working and it won't stop you from doing what you should be doing. Weed does, it makes you trip and forget about what you were doing crap like that. I still think weed is better but in the right time and place.

Weed is better for you, with cigerettes you run the risk of hundreds for side affects, including cancer. There are no life threatening side affects of smoking weed. And in some cases, weed can actually help with pain and lessen the side affects of some illnesses.

From what I've read, marijuana is less harmful to your body in comparison with the poisons in tobacco cigarettes. Marijuana most definitely has medicinal uses for people suffering from cancer, glaucoma, and anxiety.
I do not believe that tobacco has any good qualities at all (except I guess smoking is supposed to relax people...? I don't know; I don't smoke).
Tobacco causes cancer. Marijuana does not.
I vote is for weed.

Well...I dont smoke.....but....I've known people personally that have died from lung cancer......all of these people that I know or am aware of that have had cancer...it was always caused from tobacco.......I've never heard of a case (not that I'm saying it isn't possible)...of someone getting cancer from cannibis. ..Now I'm sure there are going to be all kinds of replys about this comment.....and thats fine...but I lost a person very close to me to lung cancer...and he hadn't smoked for 17 years prior to them finding it. 17 Years...after he stopped smoking tobacco...he died from the effects of it. Other than some brain cells.....are you going to die from smoking pot?
Just my personal opinion....I would much rather my husband smoke pot than tobacco anyday...at least he doesn't taste like an ashtray when I kiss him.

Pot is actually healthier if it's "clean" pot... meaning it's not laced with anything or wasn't chemically treated. Tobacco actually kills cells within your lungs whereas pot only temporarily paralyzes them. (this I've only heard, not sure of...) But, pot definitely is healthier for you. It's not as harsh on your lungs and is a cleaner "plant" in general compared to the tobacco plant, not including all of the chemicals and rat poison crap they put in cigarettes. Cannabis is definitely worse for your brain... hence, stoners... but at least it has positive calming/medical abilities as opposed to cigarettes which doesn't do anything for you health-wise unless you have an overabundance of caffeine in your system or you OD on your hypotension meds.

Depends on what you smoke the weed in. Blunts have 2xs the cancer risk than cigarrettes. I think people smoke a hell of a lot more cigarettes than weed so that should count for something.

I would think neither is good for you, but overall, I think tobacco is worse. Just think a normal day for a normal smoker is about 20 cigs. a day. You might smoke 1 or 2 joints a day.
