if the bottle contains anything other then water, absolutely not. Baby's teeth rot easily and the sugars in milk and juice help rot the teeth, so unless its water, no bottle!!

Actually, at 7 months old, your daughter shouldnt be going to bed by herself with ANY kind of bottle, as she could EASILY get choked on the liquid and mommy not hear! Give her a bottle right before bed time, put the passy in her mouth, and yes there will be fussing and screaming, but as long as shes clean and you know she isnt hungry, let her. This will go on for maybe a night or two, then she will get the idea that mommy isnt giving in, and go right to sleep.

it's normal but it's a bad habit to start giving her a bottle at night...it can make her gain a lot of weight or just be impossible to get her to sleep without it. I never let my daughter take one (they say it causes ear infections too) but i know how much you just need/want her to sleep. I have read that you can try a bottle of water at night...she wont drink as much cause it doesn't taste as good and can't hurt her gums/teeth anything. Check with a doctor first and see how much water she is allowed to have a day though. I can't remember ~ good luck and hope you get it soon!!

If she has to have a bottle to go to sleep, make it a water bottle, not milk. Then, keep a watchful eye and the minute she dozes off, go in and take it out of the crib. A milk bottle in her mouth when she falls asleep will result in rotted teeth.

Give her the bottle!!!!! I have 3 children, they are fine!!! Make sure she is at an angle, like on a pillow or folded up blanket. If your not comfy with this you can put a pillow or blanket under her mattress so she is on a slant. This will ensure proper drainage to decrease the risk of ear infections. Just take the bottle away from her when she falls to sleep. Its fine.

Hi,
I am a mom of 3 girls ages 9, 4 & 2 my two oldest had bottles and yes they went to sleep with them but I would take it away when they were sound asleep. It never hurt there teeth and it gave me sleep also.

As long as it's just water and not juice or milk, and not proped of course, there shouldn't be a problem. However it would be a good idea to start weaning off being put down with a bottle. It can eventually lead to bottle rot mouth.

be strong it may take 2 wks of crying but have you ever seen a baby w/ rotted teeth ? not pretty& yes it can cause damage in permanent teeth- boy my boys were completely off the bottle by age 1. the longer she has nite time milk the harder it will be - trust me start now. my 2nd son got attached to a nite time bottle but it wasnt as hard to break as i thought it would be . try to give her the bottle before you put her to bed

It is normal, unfortunately, but you will have to win the battle and take it away. It is not good for her to go to sleep with a bottle with any type of drink. It causes not only dependence problems, but health problems too!
