Yes, minors can be charged with felonies. In most cases, though, there are specific provisions for penalizing minors. And depending on the age of the minor, the offense and the provisions of the state, minors can be tried as adults for certain offenses.

Yes anyone can be charged with a felony. Now it's according to the states law as to whether said minor can be tried as an adult. In the state of KY any minor that is 14 or older charged with a felony and being in possession of or using a weapon may be tried as an adult, and have that charge and conviction (if convicted) on their record which will not be sealed on their 18th birthday.

Yes, a minor can be charged with a felony. There was actually a case not that long ago where a 14 year old was charged with felony due to he broke into the govt. center and stole private information.

Yes, a minor can be charged with anything that an adult can. It is the punishment that varies.

Remember, just because you are charged doesn't mean you will be found guilty.

One of my pet peeves is that the news will announce "Joe Smith was indicted today for (Insert your crime here)". They make it sound as though being indicted, it is a foregone conclusion that you are guilty. An indictment just means some one is accussing you of something and was able to get a grandjury to accept their version of the story. A grandjury only hears the Prosecutions case. There is no defense. Therefore there is the saying that a good prosecutor can indict a ham sandwhich, getting a conviction is a little more difficult.

Why? Are you a minor looking to commit a felony and get off? They're cracking down nowadays, and most minors aren't "getting away with it" anymore.

Well, 12 year olds have been charged and convicted of murder, so I would say yup.
What, you think you can commit a felony and just because you're under 18 no one will care? You'll go to court, and if convicted, you'll go to Juvie for however long your sentence is.

Absolutely. Depending on the crime, a minor can be charged as an adult.
