I know what a studio apartment is, but what's a loft apartment? What kind is it?

A loft apt is usually found in a downtown urban area in space reclaimed from business or industry, such as converted warehouse space. The apt. Tom Hanks lived in in the movie "Big" was a loft.

A loft apartment is very similar to a studio apartment as far as size, but a loft is normally put over the living room and that is where the bed in normally put. It gives you a little more room than a studio apartment does normally.

Hi there, I believe a loft apartment usually has some type of loft overlooking the living room. People usually put their bedroom or make an office out of the loft space. It just give you a little more square footage.
