www.irs.gov is the website where you can see the tax rate you fall under.

If you do not have the write-offs for charitable donations, you can expect the gov't to tax you at a high rate. Get involved in your community and make some donations...

Hard to convince as govt need your tax is support them and the public infrastructure/system.
One way is to be self employed and enjoys lower taxes opportunties for your hard earn money. Being an employee,you are in the system to pay tax as good citizen.

You can't. The pinheads in Washington don't care, don't listen, they just tax and spend on their own pet projects. Washington is 1200 acres surrounded by reality. Go to the ballot box on election day and vote EVERY incumbent out of office. Maybe they will get the message.

Depends how much you owe them! Did you declared yourself Bankrupt? You can't fool the goverment. Sure, you can do it for couple of years, but they'll catch up with you. Every state have the same tax rate for every citizen!

they did, next year there are tax cuts.

Other than that, to reduce your tax debt, use all the deductions and offsets you can, and move to a special zone where you get $1173 taken out of your tax payable for just living there.
