Well eating spicy food can have a severe impact on your bowels...
I know this may sound like an old wives tale, bit try eating a small dollop of toothpaste when you start to feel the heart burn coming on
( the reason being is because toothpaste is BASIC , and the juices in your stomach is ACIDID)
and if you paid attention in science class (hehehe) you will have learnt that Basic's neutralise Acids..(but be careful not to take TOO much toothpaste, as your body may produce more acid to compensate for the addition of more base)
If all else fails, go to your doctor for a check up!!
(if u cant afford the doctor or are too scared for some reason, then give up the spicy foods for abit..) if the problem STILL persist, then DEFINATELY see a doctor!!

You could have Acid Reflux that can be controlled with Prevacid or you made need something stronger from a Doctor. Also, it could be your Gallbladder. Your Gallbladder can make your chest hurt and make you think your having a heart attack. It also sounds as though you are having gas lodged under your ribs. Another thing that can cause gas lodging is constipation. Hope you feel better soon. My advice to you is go to the Doctor, you need to find out for sure what is going on.

If you have been experiencing these symptoms for more than a couple of days and you have no relief from over the counter drugs such as Rolaids or Tums. It may be serious acid reflux disease. The stomach produces too much acid and the lining of the stomach may be damaged. However, I had these symptoms and it turned out that I had blocked arteries and had a heart attack .

Yeah, go to the doctor, it might be heartburn, but it might not be. The doctor probably won't know what it is till he gets more information and tries you out on different drugs, but its either that, alternative medecine or ignore it and hope for the best. Maybe say a little prayer and see if that helps.

this could be just straight forward ingestion due to acid coming back up your food pipe, which should be easy to treat.
however you could have more serious wrong with you, because heart trouble my feel like ingestion, go to your doctor and get it checked, if it is false alarm great. if saves your life even better.
