Don't go for the cheap solution (i.e. Disney Magical Express). That is just their way of forcing people to stay on Disney property. Definitely rent a car. Walt Disney World is huuuge, and you will be glad that you have your own car to get around in when you need to vs. having to rely on crowded Disney buses with your kids. If you are staying at Disney's Beach Club, parking will be free there and at all Disney theme parks, so all you will have to pay for is the rental and gas.

Definitely rent a car, or take a private transfer. Magical express can take a long time to get from the airport to your hotel. Also, while the luggage service sounds nice, I have heard a lot of stories of people luggage being lost, or taking a long time to get to them. Having two young children, it will be a lot easier if you take your own transportation.
So basically, I would decide this way. Do you plan to go offsite or do anything out side of Disney, i.e. Universal, Sea World, other parks, the beach, shopping, dining, etc. Or, are you just looking to get to and from the resort? If you plan to go other places, I would rent a car. If you plan to only go to Disney and back to the airport, get a private transfer, limo, van or town car. Most companies even offer a grocery stop so you could pick up some things for your kids if needed.
I hope this helps!

Magical Express all the way. My kids too are 1 and 6 (love the age difference don't you) and we have taken the magical express and it was great. Off the plane, right on the Bus where a TV was playing Disney movies. Plus, we layed back and relaxed and didn't have to worry with making any wrong turns. The kids had a great time and we didn't miss a car for one minute!!!

Hi there! Well it depends on 1 thing, mainly: will you be traveling outside of Disney at any point in your vacation or will you just be at Disney World and other disney activies? If the answer is yes, then you'll definitely want the rental car to visit beaches, Kennedy Space Center, Sea World, and other area attractions. If you do end up renting a car, I highly recommend going with Enterprise only.
If you're only planning on doing Disney things, then no... you won't need a rental car and Disney transportation should work just fine!

I enjoyed using the Magical Express. It was great not having to worry about traffic or directions. I found that it was almost as quick as getting to the car rental desk, then finding the car, then making my way to the resort....
It was just much less stress. I highly recommend it to everyone. On the bus, they will show a "welcome to Disney World" video. This is great for keeping the kids entertained!!!

I really liked Disney's Magical Express. It didn't take long at all to get to our Resort, and it didn't take that long for us to get our bags either. I agree with TechFanatic on this one, though. Only because you have two small children. It would be easier and it'd be guaranteed that you'll have your luggage upon check-in.
Have fun! I like the Beach Club Resort. It's theme is New England's beach towns, and I'm from New England.

I think renting a car is best. You don't have to wait around. They can get crowed too.You can come and go as you please.
