Not true, only those things that have been invented are already invented, those things yet to be invented are just waiting for some intelligent person like you to invent them. But since you are frustrated and all maybe you should work on discovering something first, then move on to the more challenging inventions........

Keep the faith, you will invent something if you use the following formula:
Become an expert in a field like engineering or medicine or even construction.
Look for ways to improve the processes or methods and document your idea. Test it and then apply for a patent.

Invent a pen that leaks all the time but makes it look like it came from the pen next to it. Invent an ink that can't be removed from skin and clothing. Invent a cleaner that does remove this ink from said items. There is limitless potential and a large population that will buy a lint free frog replenisher if you tell them that they need one, and that it will make them more attractive.

Ah, you see, first you have to invent the need for something (the something you never knew you needed). Then you can invent the thing that fulfils that need.

There are still loads of things to invent. Saying that though I have thought of about 5 things, been really proud then discovered they already exist. Keep with it you will get there.

I would try to invent something for someone's pet. People will buy anything for their animals.
