• Affirmative Action: when we complain about that, we're just playing the race card. You're saying that you didn't get a certain job because you're white. That's playing the race card.
• African Americans: we keep saying that some African Americans won't get over things, but apparently neither will we since we keep asking about it on Yahoo Answers.

You are so right. It is as if whites want blacks to dig out of a hole alone what whites threw them into. You guys are the ones with the fork lifts so give a helping hand. Racism still exist, discrimination, and yes, blacks are still held back because of it. We ALL stereotype and segregate ourselves. Would you go to a table with black people if you were white? If you would rather associate with your own race wouldn't you inadvertanly prefer to work with them too? This happens all of the time, if it wasn't for affirmitive action, some blacks would never get certain jobs. It is true but sad. At the same time, affirmative action is a form of racism itself.
However, sometimes people need a boost order to be on even ground. What about finacial aid? If you are rich would you get it? Do you need it? Same with AA. If you don't need it why shouldn't those that do not get it? If you lived in the ghetto wouldn't you want a chance to advance and better yourself? I can't stand it when whites complain about minorities taking their jobs. How is this possible? I still see whites sitting firmly in most of the best jobs in our country. When is the last time you have seen a black president?

This really has to be one of the most ignorant questions I've ever seen on YA, (And there have been a lot of them). I'm a black man and I notice that all races complain about everything all the time. The Mexicans complain that they can't live in the US tax free, The blacks complain that the US doesn't give them free stuff, The whites complain that the black & the Hispanics want something for nothing. The Asians complain that we don't have enough asian markets...LOL The Native Americans complain that all of us took over their Native and spiritual land, (Actually a valid gripe). So shut up you moron, before I start complaining about your ignorance.

Why are some black people people complaining? Why the Hispanics? Why the Jews? The point I'm trying to make is that whites aren't the only ones who complain. Everyone tries to play the victim, no matter what race, that way they can feel superior in one way or another.

I think white people just want to show that they struggle a little bit just like everyone else, they want to relate and there's nothing wrong with that. I just wish you all would stop the racism while you're complaining. It is such a contradiction to say that you're being discriminated against and then to discriminate against someone else.
