Is there any other woman on here who's taken long to show. I'm about 5'6" tall and started at 118pnds. I do have a long waist and my uterus is up to where it should be the doc said. But, I'm still upset that I'm not showing really. My husband and I can see a difference but it's not like I expected my stomach to look when I was pregnant :( Is this normal....I was also in good shape and have strong abs??? This is my first pregnancy. How do I stop obsessing about this? Thanks!!!!!

My friend, who is also tall & thin, didn't even begin to show until she was around 26 weeks! I mean, she showed, but only to the point where people really close to her could tell & still it was just barely. At 26 weeks her belly just kinda appeared, it was really crazy LOL Heidi Klum also didn't show until she was a bit furthur along, not sure how far but not until after 20+ weeks. So I guess it may have something to do with you being in good shape, maybe the muscles need longer to stretch out since they are so tight? I was REALLY out of shape when I got pregnant & was showing quite a bit by 3 months, so maybe...

I still had to tell people I was preg at 8 mo's then all of a sudden I got alot bigger, but still not HUGE. My son was 1 1/2 weeks early and 9 lbs!!! Everyone was shocked. Even my O.B. I left the hospital (2 days later) wearing my pre-pregnancy clothes! I only had to loose 4 lbs to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight! Don't stress out about the way you look, as long as your healthy. Good luck and congratulations!
p.s. I wasn't in good shape before (5'7" and 180 lbs). I had severe morning sickness and LOST 12 lbs by 16 weeks preg.

With my first pregnancy people didn't know for sure that I was pregnant until I was about 7 months pregnant. Around the middle of my 8th month I got REALLY big.
I am 5ft tall and started out at 95pounds. When I delievered I weighed 135. I had an 8 pound baby.

I am 5'5'' and started at 120lbs. I still had to tell people I was pregnant at 35 weeks! I am due any day and people tell me I look 6 months. Enjoy it!
I was all upset that no one can tell. This is my first and I was in really good shape. They say that the second wont be the same.
You really want to look pregnant now, but when you get to where I am. You start to get tired of it and want your old cloths back. So don't worry you still have a lot of time left.

When I was 22wks, I was in the same situation as you, but when I woke up the next morning I was huge. I looked like I was ready to pop. Now I'm on my third preganacy, In a couple of weeks I'll be 5 months pregnant but I look like I'm 7 months pregnant now.

Trust me...you don't want to wish to show sooner than you have too. I mean I was hoping for the same thing when I was as far along as you. But now I am changing my mind. I didn't start showing until 28 weeks. I am small too. But now I feel like a blimp at 36 weeks.

I'm currently 28wks and when I am dressed, it is very hard to tell that I'm carrying a baby(my 1st). Plus, I can still sleep face down comfortably. I'm 5'5" and I started at 105lbs and I'm very active. Personally, I'm glad that I'm not much bigger cause I still fit almost all of my clothes! I have not purchased anything maternity. My ob told me that for 1st time moms, it is common to be smaller than expected. Rejoice and enjoy!

Be happy your not showing yet. Once you get big everyone keeps asking you why your still around, when are you going to have that baby. Or, they comment on your size. It's so annoying. I'm 37 weeks and work in retail. Customers won't leave me alone and I'm getting so cranky.

I didn't start to show until around 24 weeks. I'm 5'9". It's normal not to show much in the beginning especially if it's your 1st pregnancy.
