no, a sink of water isn't large enough to be affected by the changes of the tide.

The tide is the cyclic rising and falling of Earth's ocean surface caused by the tidal forces of the Moon and the Sun acting on the Earth.

Even if there was a negligible amount of force generated on the sink of water, it wouldn't be enough to overcome the surface tension of the water itself.

No, by the time the tide effects of the moon could yank any drops out of your sink, enough water would have evaporated to offset the tiny tide in your sink. Definitely not a place to go surfing.

However, I knew people who lived close to the waterline on Long Island Sound, and during the high tides in the springtime, they did not dare try to flush their toilet when the tide was in.
