Some times its a matter of your body not having had breakfast and your blood sugar dropping. I always get sleepy at 4 pm and 4 am. I usually eat some chocolate before that if I am working if not I go to sleep. Since I worked nights for 20 years It was important to stay awake. I do nap for about 1/2 hour and that helps.

You have a problem that I once had (and occasionally have now). That is, you don't get enough sleep the night before.
I have a day job, but I love doing things at night. As a result, I stay up later than I should.
One obvious way to not be as sleepy the next day is to go to bed on time.
But, I ended up having to get a prescription from the doctor to help me sleep better at night. You obviously might not need that. Also, a friend of mind tried Alertec, and then I did (instead of sleeping pills) and it made me SO awake, PLUS I even got more things done. But, you would have to see a doctor about that. Just tell him/her your problem, and be extremely honest about everything. Even if you have to tell them that you refuse to go to bed before 3am, and that you have to wake up 4 hrs later. Just be honest. That's the only way a doctor can help you.

I just read an article that talked about a study that was done to see what would help drowsiness in the middle of the day. They said that bright light would help wake you up. They said that the brightest light is out side, so take a walk outside when you get sleepy.
Also in the morning eat an apple, they are supposed to help wake you up more than caffeine.

I, too am tired all of the time at work, but it is because I found that my work didn't stimulate my mind. When I falling asleep, then find a task that I can dive into, I don't feel tired anymore. Consider changing jobs if you are not challenged.

I started eating right and getting a good amount of sleep. It really varies for each person. I also use a little stacker every now and then!

Make sure that you are getting proper rest at night and come in positive. If you come in like you know you are going to be tired then your mind gets stuck in relax mode.

I used to take caffeine, pro plus tablets. now I just drink lots of black coffee. But it is worth taking regular exercise, and fresh air, and get more sleep.
