I'm interested to know what, is any, obstacles you've had to deal with, from daily life to friends, school, etc. (your answers amy also be shared with students in my sign language class as part of learning about deafness)

The best answer to this question is to get involved with a deaf organization in your community (there should be one, just check)
They can tell you of their experiences. Also try looking for support groups on-line, there are many of them.
I am now an interpreter, but when I was going to collage for my degree part of our classes required getting involved with a deaf group. This was very helpful in learning sign language and in understanding what they face daily.

well im not a child of a deaf parent but my cousin is and i know that some diffacultys she has brought to me was she has a hard time keeping her temper because she cant communicate well, she also haqs trouble in english because from growing up with her mother she speaks a little funny.

"why doesn't your child listen?" (hmm, do you happen to see the hearing aids that barely help him?)
or the teacher who stuffed him in the back of the class, "hmm, he doesn't seem to pay attention" ( hmm, did you read his file? or the note I sent?" )
