If you are five weeks along the embryo would have already gone through the implantation period. Implantation occurs 10-12 days after you ovulate. With pain and bleeding i would go to the doctor just to make sure everything is ok. Good Luck.

I would be more worried about the cramping than the spotting. I had pink discharge and went on to deliver a healthy baby boy at 39 weeks. However, there was no cramping. I felt a little bloated, and occasionally had a "pinch" in my abdomen.

If it doesn't go away in a few hours, call your OB. Good luck!

I think you need to make an appt. with your doctor ASAP. It could possibly be normal, I experienced the cramping myself but you need to have it checked out so you DON'T lose it. Good luck, I hope all is well with your pregnancy.

Go to the doctor right now! Even if you are not miscarrying, you need to be checked out.
