I have it in the sacro-iliac joint and it is hellishly painful. As I am not a member of a sufferers group or anything my knowledge of this affliction is next to nothing and I wonder where I stand (of course, when it's really bad I can't stand at all, lol)

My husband says the joints, he takes anti inflammatory drugs and uses anti inflammatory gels prescribed by his G. P. The anti inflammatory gels work on the muscle surrounding the joint which helps to relax it, some of the pain is caused by the muscle tightening around the joints causing pain. He has also been prescribed anti depressant that also help to ease the pain, these were prescribed by the pain management clinic. If the pain is too bad for your g.p. to manage ask them for a referal to your local clinic. Good Luck

Yes the bottom of the spine, I have been in agony for years with this problem and I'm on medication for life. I agree with you it's really painful, but once I am in a comfortable position, taken my medication, then it eases off but I also have a gel that I can rub in to my painful areas. Some people like warmth, but "Freeze Gel" or an icepack gives me more relief.
