When I got pregnant the first time, I told my employer right away. They knew I'd been trying. I was ecstatic and couldn't have hidden it. They were happy for me. But when I got pregnant again seven months later, it was quite the surprise. I didn't tell them immediately because I knew that they would realize it had "implications." There was no way I could continue to work with two babies and I needed time to think about how it woud affect things and what I planned to do. I think it's best not to tell them while you still have any unanawered questions regarding how it might affect them. It is best for them not to have to be thinking about contingency plans when you aren't sure what your plans are.

It depends on what type of job you have. If it is very physical, outdoors, or dealing with chemicals, you should tell as soon as you find out. Your outcome will most likely be different than mine, so I'll let you presume things will okay and the team won't try to stick you with jobs the supervisors don't think you should be doing. Do your best to show the supervisors, if not the team mates/associates as well, that you can handle your job or else they'll try to push you out before it's time for medical insurance and maternity leave to kick in.

It depends on if uve been there a while or just started. If u worked their a while I say tell them right away to prepare them for ur leave. If uve just started try to get to know ur boss a little better and then tell them. They cant do anything to u because ur having a baby. If they fire u or treat u different sue them! I bet u will win and ur baby will have nothing but the finest! lol

It depends on your boss. I told my immediate boss right away, because we have that kind of relationship, and I knew he would be happy for me. He's a real family-oriented kind of guy.

The boss that I had to worry about was my hard-assed corporate boss that has no children and gave me a hard time the last time I had to take maternity leave.

My immediate boss volunteered to tell her on my behalf, which I let him do for me, but I made him wait until I hit my fourth month.

Good luck!

i think of it could be seen discrimination in the event that they does not hire you through being pregnant. I even have been @ my job for 11 months as quickly as I even have my toddler and experience it should not be an entire 365 days (a million month short) I won't have the potential to qualify for maternity go away. So i will might desire to take an unpaid go away of absence following my transport date, which will go away me approximately 8-12 weeks without paycheck from artwork. So i visit sign up in my state's incapacity for the time of that element so I should not be without earnings. (Heck, I paid into it - might to boot use it whilst i want it) so as which would be an determination for you once you communicate to your destiny company. i could be trouble-free approximately it whilst they settle for you for a place. they might desire to have the potential to accomidate a while without work, yet in simple terms remember which you is probably not eligible for maternity go away in case you fall decrease than the comparable situations that I do. stable good fortune to ya and congrats :)

This one is tough, but no matter how you do it remember one thing: they can't do anything to you for being pregnant - that's descrimination. So don't worry about losing your job, or anything like that. They have to allow you to leave work for things like going to dr appts and all that. Good Luck.

If you are not having health problems then there is no need to tell them. Your co-workers are the bigger problem. they will give you a hard time about taking time off and leaving them more work to do.
