It could be a lot of things! braxton hicks, they are different each time .
It could also be "stretching" of the muscles from the way the baby is lying. or be a sign of a yeast infection, bladder / kidney infection. These are common during pregnancy.
I would suggest asking your Dr. you can always go to a maternity ward to "be checked", and most pregnancy clinics as well.
The mucus could be a sign of the cervix "thinning" and that can start anywhere from the 7th month on!
The achy feeling lasted about 3 weeks with my 4th one, but then I was on my feet ALOT with working outside the house and taking care of the other lil ones!
I know it is hard to wait it out, but as grandpa always said..."They'll come when they're darn good and ready too!
Your best bet is always your Dr.
Good Luck!

I don't think you'll be getting through this weekend without having that baby...or maybe not even thorough the day! So congrats! If the contractions aren't consistent they probably aren't "real" yet, but you can still get dialated with only prelabor type contractions. Don't feel funny asking, each pregnancy is different. I've had an achy feeling that lasted from Sunday morning until they induced me on Thursday night. But I never would have considered it painful enough to prevent me from moving. If you can't talk through them either they are definitely for real though. You should maybe continue to see more mucous through out the day before going into real labor though. Good luck! I'm sure you'll know when it's time, since it will hurt.

The mucus you had while wiping, well that could me an indication that you either lost or are getting ready to lose your mucus plug, which is an idication that you will be going into labor sometime soon, in the next few weeks. The achy feeling? Well I experienced the same thing when I was almost due to have my son. It wasnt labor, it was my son moving down into the birth canal to get ready to be born. Plus all the extra weight up front does a number on your back!!!

Sounds to me like you are beginning to labor. I have been informed that when the contractions are radiating from your lower back & into your abdomen it is real - try walking & drinking a lot of water to see if they go away - if they don't then it's probably labor. I had 2 babies (pregnant with 3rd now) and NEVER had 'consistent' contractions - they were erratic in both pregnancies, so I believe some women are regular & some are not. Are you having more than 4 per hour? Call your doctor or midwife! Babies on its' way!!! Yippee for you!

What kind of mucus, Clear and yellowish or yellowish with a little pink? If there is pink then your mucus plug came out and you may very well be in labor. I experienced Braxton- Hicks for nearly the whole last trimester and my mucus plug came out at 32 weeks. The pain in your back may be a sign of ' back-labor' and that is a definate sign of labor. Your doctor may be able to give a more positive answer if you call him and get in to see him right away. Congratulations, honey, you may very well be in labor. Happy laboring.

i would have the ob check the baby's position... i had the same thing with my first son, and he was occipital posterior (sunny-side up). i had atrocious back labor with him.
with the rest of the babies, i had a chiropractor that i visited regularly, and with weekly adjustments toward the end, had no more problems with the baby's presentation. not exactly pain-free deliveries, but much less painful nonetheless!!
sound like bh contrax, like you said. try a big glass of water when you feel them that badly (dehydration can bring on more intense bh contrax) and sit with your feet up for a while. bh will respond to this... regular contrax won't.
best wishes for a safe and healthy delivery for you both!!

You could be having back labor which is no fun at all... But hopefully not. Just take it easy and see what happens. You could have a new baby soon.
