The 13th warrior was pure Hollywood fiction. Enemy at the gates was an English movie loosely based on factual events during WW11 about a Russian Sniper who killed a great number of Germans during the siege of Stalingrad.

Enemy at the Gates is not really based on one particular person. There were a lot of snipers in Stalingrad. Both the Germans and Russians tried to one up each other and soem snipers were used to kill other snipers. So, there is some fact to it, but the characters are fictional.
