Well I spose first I would have to make a table cloth, using bits of scrap cloth around the house. Then I would make homade lasagna. Break out a homemade bottle of Dandelion wine. and probably Homemade carrot, or cheesecake for dessert

If I cook, truthfully, you would not want to come over to dinner. I have never been a good cook.
If I invite you over for dinner, I would order you the best meal I can get catered and I won't hide the containers. Just compliment that I picked the best caterer and will leave it like that.

Hm...tough to say. If I knew you were really clever and had been around town to all the hotspots, I'd probably say I wouldn't be ordering and covering up...and if I did do that, I'd tell you where the food was from. Knowing you'd come over and being a little weak on my cooking skills, I'd probably pick up a cookbook, and cook something up based on your favorite food type which I would have asked you long before the dinner.

I would cook you a roast beef, steamed broccoli, mashed potatoes with the awesome gravy that I make with the roast juices, buttered carrots, hot soft yeast rolls and Cherie pie with vanilla ice cream for desert every thing would be made from scratch we would also have a nice blush wine to complement the meal this would all be contingent on what you like to eat if you preferred something else that would be what I would make for you because you are the guest so I would ask you what your favorite meal is and that would be what I would cook for you I have many specialties and would cook to order for you if that is what you wanted but it would definitely be ALL HOME MADE FROM SCRATCH that's the only way to cook a good meal.

Well, it doesn't sound very fancy, but I make a "mean" macaroni and cheese, and I'd (of course) throw in a bunch of side dishes
No, I wouldn't toss containers and let you compliment my cooking cuz my cooking is way better!
So do you think you'll stop by for dinner?

To me an invite implies a need to impress or desire to "bring it" so I say I'd cook something but use every George Foreman like device to assist the magic of making dinner. I'd cool a roast with yummy gravy and maybe rice or potatoes and asparagus.

I would cook an Italian dinner:
Rigatoni with spinnach and tomato pasta, a special sicilian recipe from my grandmother that includes cinnamon in the sauce, a special brand of italian sausage, caesar salad, garlic bread with a choice red wine. Desert would follow with entertainment.

If I cooked I would tell you I cooked it.. If I bought it out I would tell you that too. What' s the point in lying. IF you were a good friend then you'd eventually realize I couldn't cook good. I do cook good however. : )

I would cook whatever you liked. If I didn't know what you liked, I would stick to something safe. Usually though I ask before cooking.

My best thing to cook (although the family doesn't like it as well as some other stuff) is my homemade beef stew. And, for dessert, I'd make chocolate chip cookies with just a hint of cinnamon!
Golly, I'm making myself hungry...
