I have an original Nintendo NES game console, but I can't find the original "switch" part that connected from the back of the console to the TV or cable outlet.

Can you buy this type of switch these days at any radio shack or walmart? Or do you need a special part that's hard to find?

you can use regular A-V cables, those are the red/yellow or red/white or red/white/yellow cables.

you can also use the original RF switch, but i would go with AV cables, because you can buy them at any radioshack or such outlet

i'll post a link for the rf switch from ebay in a second, but some newer TVs may not have the fem-cable part

You're looking for an RF switch--it plugs in the back of the NES and runs into the TV through the Cable/Antenna input. They should be relatively easy to find especially at video gaming stores such EB, etc. Sometimes you'll find that larger retailers such as Wal-mart, Target, etc will carry them but they are harder to find in such places.

If worse comes to worse, try www.collectorscardsandgames.com/
They are an internet retailer of all things gaming-related. They should have the part you need, quite inexpensively, plus shipping.

What you're looking for is probably an NES RF connector. This is the connector that plugs into the cable jack on your TV. Your best bet is probably EBay, because the chance of finding somewhere in your local area that has one in stock is pretty slim.

You're looking for the "RF connector", but actually you don't need one.

There should be a red and a yellow jack on your NES. You can get "RCA cables" to connect these to your TV or VCR.
