SICK TREE HAVE BAD FOLIAGE REMOVED WILL THE TREE COME BACK IF THERE ARE NEW SHOOTS COMING FROM TRUNK ALREADY?

it can come back but its not going to look right. It will be more like bush or it will have a crooked trunk, or many trunks.

Uh, my guess is no; you may certainly try it. If the tree lost it's leaves from drought then it will be fine next year and may even grow back some leaves this year BUT if you were to cut off all the seemingly dead branches you will definitely kill the tree...a tree may survive the loss of all or most of it's leaves every once in a while if the cause is lack of water(for a relatively short time) or frost in the spring.

lopping is not a viable practice these days however dead wood can be removed . the older the tree the less folige you want to take off. if you do lop have an arborist monitor the epicormic shoots
