Well a good mix cd should have a queen song on there, I'm fond of "Headlong", has a good strong moving along sound.
I also love Regina Spektor "US",
"It'll All Work Out" by Tom Petty
Let It All Hang Out - Hombres
Micheal Buble's "Home"
Nelly Furtardo "Promiscous lady"
"Bad Reputation" Half ******
Damien Rice "Cannonball"
Anything by Pink (Partystarted is a good one)

Soundtracks are Always a good bet as their often a nice mix already I suggest these movies sound tracks "Elizabethtown", "Shrek", "Legally Blonde", "Walk the line", "Josie and the pussycats", "2gether", "Pleasantville",

I forget the artist names but these songs have a nice poppy sound (From the Legally blonde soundtrack)
"One girl revolution"
"Watch Me Shine "
"Love Is A Beautiful Thing "
"Perfect Day "

It would also be worth going on a website like Amazon.co.uk (or .com) and look at mixed cds on there, like "Acoustic love" or "House work songs" or even "Magic"

and remember to have a look at Mandy Moore, Stacie Orico, Amy Jo Johnson, Norah Jones (Great laid back driving stuff) Brian Kennedy, Jc Chasez (Love "100 ways"), Raghav, Ricky martin, Dixie Chicks ('Long Way home') but I won't just list my cd collection hehe.

Hope this helps.
