can a collision occur on token ring LAN network,when early token release is used.if yes please explain it?

Collisions can always occur particularly when there are a lot of users. They just cause a retransmission of the message so throughput goes down but data still gets there.

I do not think a collision can occur because there is only one token and who has the token is the only one who can transmit wether it is early or not
