I'm particularly interested in a laptop but don't mind hearing about prices for other products too.

Not a simple question! If you are buying something and having it shipped, then it depends on the seller's guidelines. If you are shipping it yourself, you can get an approximate amount from the international part of the "Calculate Postage" section (tab near top, white on red) at http://www.usps.com - but you will have to take it to the post office and fill out Customs forms; you can't just drop international packages in a mail box, so they will weigh it and tell you the exact amount of postage. There are many options, depending on how fast it needs to get there and how much cost matters.

Shipping a laptop is pretty iffy - make sure it's cushioned VERY well! And it may not work on the electric current in another country anyway - check with the manufacturer.
