The groups and cultures I am most prejudiced towards are the ones I have most contact with, while those I have least contact with are the cultures I have the most respect for. Do you think this is a coincidence, or do you think it is a negative consequence of living in a very multicultural place?
By the way, I know my prejudices are wrong, so I would never act on them, instead I have made an effort to learn about other cultures. I was just wondering, because I really don't think our feeble attempt at multiculturalism is working very well. What do you think?

Multiculturalism, destroyed the Roman Empire, FACT.

A society can only survive, if the immigrants adopt the language and culture of their new country, case in point, Mexicans in the USA...

It is not politically correct but it works better when the different races are living together seperate from each other. We are forced into living together and should make attempts to get along, but the differences are greater then even meet the eye. I understand your situation and experience it to. At this point, we must adjust. Multiculturalism has never really worked, look at history. The real exception is the US, but I dont need to explain the problems we have here regarding race. Or do I? Peace.

I don't believe its coincidence.I believe that you have these prejudices BECAUSE you are in contact with them. Its like studying something or someone, you learn more about them by watching them, their reactions in different scenarios and then make decisions about what you saw or heard. To not be in contact with some group is in a way putting them on a pedestal. You don't really know what they are like and so you maintain this untarnished image of them. Its like when you meet a really good looking girl or guy and they always looks so well put together, then you go to her house late one night or unannounced and they open the door, bad breath, hair in disarray, pimple cream etc. you then have another way of looking at that person,it forces you to acknowledge that they too are human and have flaws like everyone else.

Multiculturalism is a racist concept. It implies that people think of others as inferior therefore we need to prove that they are not by all living together. If we didn't think of each other as inferior then there would be no need to prove it and make a big deal out of it. "look at me I am so tolerant I am so great", how condescending!

Your feelings are natural, it is our instinct to fear others, that's what helps keep you alive. Multiclutterism is for idiots by idiots.

I believe that we are influenced by the way people react to our comments and things that happen which are contrary to our beliefs.
As you probably know we can find fault with all groups including our own.
It seems to me that our worst prejudice is not keeping an open mind.
My question is, what percent of Muslims believe that killing others gets you special favors and heaven? This Blows my mind, that rational people can believe like this. How can one understand this?

I think that maybe the reason your are prejudiced towards groups of people you have the most contact with is just that. I think that maybe you get annoyed with their behaviors and sort of get tired of being around them. Sort of like an annoying relative or friend.

No such element! God has a plan and a objective for each thing that happens! we would basically see one piece of the puzzle at a time, yet God is time-honored with of the vast image and He can help us placed our existence puzzle mutually if we in simple terms permit Him help! (and whilst God does it, it constantly finally ends up turning out so plenty extra suited than we ever might have concept it could have if we did it on out own!)

because the more you hate it, the more it goes into you-- closer. It's telling you to get to know them better before prejudicing them. You don't even know them. Because being judgemental is so wrong. Do you like it when you'e being judge?
