I just migrated here in canada and I will be in a new school next week and all of us are going to be new students. I went there this week for registration and I met 2 girls. We only had small talks but when I was there, everyone seems to know a lot of people already because they were classmates before . On the first day of class, what can I ask them or good conversation starters to keep the conversation going? My mom told me to ask about their summer like how they spent their summer or of they had a great summer also if they took a part time job.what school they were from..what else can i ask them?

THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Your mom gave you some good ideas. Also, you need to sit back and get a feel of the people in and around your immediate environment. Be cool, soon you'll have lots of friends with similar interests...Good luck and welcome to US.

Ask them whats fun to do in this town. Ask about summer plans they had. Or college plans are for after school... Just be yourself. People respond to being real and not pretending better than pretending to be something else.

just be yourself budddy....talk about normal things, ask them to show you around, be nice to them all but not too nice as everything in excess tends to destroy everything...

Ask them about the school policy, the teachers, whts the entertainment at your area, hobbies...etc...

I shifted to many school in my life buddy, ofcourse i was nervous at first but slowly when i changed school for the 5th time in 5 years, it was already normal for me...y i shifted so quickly? no great reason, my father just wanted me to study in different nations of the world, every year different school, different country, different people....it was hard mate, but i loved it......i have so many friends yet i m still all alone.....hehehehhehe

just b yourself buddy, lets see how faith takes your journey from here on....goodluck mate.
