Do ants sleep? (well worker ants)?

cos athching all those documentaries, they seemlikie they are always working to feed the queen, rebuilding their nests and feeding the princesses-i need expert advice here

Yes they do sleep, however short that time may be however is not incredibly well documented. Worker ants, the ones seen outside the colony foraging for food, work from sunrise to sun set. Other workers inside the colony typically do the other chores like tend to the queen and raise the larvae, or princesses as you stated hahaha. They have "shifts" I guess you can say and the responsabilities taken up by one ant, relieve another which can then tend to its own requirements, such as sleep and feeding itself.
Once inside for the night, ants reduce their activities greatly, the hustle and bustle of the day time is replaced with a closing down period where each ant has its time to rest.

I believe they work shifts alternating between day and night shifts.The working class ants sometimes are made to work 24 hour shifts! The could do with a union!

I once heard that ants don't sleep too but actually they do. A whole colony never sleeps at once but each individual ant must sleep.

Yes, they sleep. Although when they sleep their inside the earth, they don't sleep outdoors like horses or cows. That's why you don't see them sleep on documentaries and such.

no insects that contains ants dont sleep like us.only animals sleep (animals like: human ,cat ,snake. fish....)
