Not so much a description, but the muppet in the pet shop said as long as we got baby angel fish they would be fine with all our fish as it was only fully grown ones that were nasty.
What a big fat lie angel fish are the work of the devil lol

Goldfish: Great for beginners, never gets bigger then the tank!
Of course they all grow to around 12 inches or so, and I have been sent out to rescue fish in 12 inch tanks that were 12 inches and had bent back bones and other nasty issues.

Goldfish thrive in bowls! As do bettas!
You can mix plecos and goldfish!
You only need a 5g tank for that fish (a salt water fish).
*shudders* I can't go on. Too many bad bad things.

not a fish, but we had a emperor boa constrictor or something we were told would not grow more than 4 feet. Unfortunately by the time it was 10 feet, taken over half the living room and started eyeing up the dog we decided to give him to a zoo

I have seen red bellied piranhas labeled as pacus, a vegetarian. They look very similar except for the razor sharp teeth. Piranhas are tetras, BTW. Yes, tetras
