The disk brake pads are worn out. There is a wear indicator on the the brake pads to make them squeak when they need to be replaced.
It is not unusual for a 2 year old car to need brakes.
Some advice, don't go too cheap on your replacement pads. I tried the cheap one on my Grand Am and they only lasted about 15,000 miles.
Brake pads are usually not covered by the factory warranty.

It's not unusual to get vibration (and therefore squeaking) from the brake pads. Manufacturers have designed special pads to absorb some of this, and also have lubricants to put on the back side to help with this problem.
If your car is new enough to still be under warranty, I'd take it back to the dealer and see if they will fix it for you.

My assumption is that the "el cheapo" brake pads have been used, and, counting on the situations the Mustang is going by using, might have wiped out already. yet another danger is that there could be some thing putting up interior the brakes that would desire to be inflicting the brakes to squeak. Disc brakes are between the least complicated issues to restoration on a automobile, and with a e book from the library, might properly be executed comfortably by ability of any weekend warrior

Your brake pads are designed to squeak when they need replacing. If you wait too long, you will have to replace rotors, drums, and shoes, going from a $70 job to a $400 job. I have a 2003 Grand Am and I have to replace my pads about every four months b/c all my driving is in town, constantly stop and go.

If it's the front brakes. the pads may be worn out. They have a wear sensor on them that squeal when the brakes are low.
If they are OK have some brake quiet sprayed on the pads, they may be crystallized. Or have them replaced.

Take it to the dealer, your warranty should cover it if you, have a real problem. It might just be that it's time to replace your brake pads. Don't ignore this. I ignored squeaky brakes for a day, one day, The pads were worn, and busted my rotors, close to $500.00 repair.

Could be dirt on the discs or drums, or possibly you've been hammering it from new without letting the brakes bed in properly. Anyway it's probably not a major problem which can easily be sorted by a competent grease monkey.

Your warranty will cover this if the brakes are defective in some way. Your warranty "will not" cover this if it is a maintenance item. I can already tell you that your dealer will argue it is a maintenance item.

Break pads can go bad from any defect. Have them checked out. Most places will check for free. Make sure when replacing them that they use a higher quality pad and you keep the warrenty for them.
