Why are American soldiers dying for "freedom and democracy" in Iraq if you're going to send them to Venezuela to displace a president freely elected in a democracy.

The USA has done this before: Pinochet comes to mind.

Because He ownes citgo, and people in America are dependant on oil, so that would have an impact on the economy, also America buys oil from Venezuela and that would have an impact on the economy too.

Taken out of the picture? Things don't work like that. You can't "take someone out of the picture" just because he goes against your interests. If things worked out like that, Bush would've already been massacred, everybody around the world hates him and he's already invaded two countries, Iraq and Afghanistan!

i can't for the life of me imagine why, but the asker has certainly been eager to accept a barking mass of blatant lies sold by the Resident in our white house...which he could realize if he'd ever done one bit of research looking for what's TRUE of Hugo Chavez.

i won't hold my breath for that to happen, even after i give him some facts to start on.

HC came from the ranks of the working poor to be democratically elected and re-elected and re-elected and re-elected and re-elected and re-elected by the people in his country in Southern America.

this, in spite of the fact the USA was caught re-handed in bringing a coup against him - which didn't work because the people of Venezuela stopped it in its tracks.

the Bushco criminal cabal hates him because he dared tell foreign-owned (USA) oil companies that he was not going to let them continue to take such a huge share of the profits from Venezualan oil - a resource that belongs to the people of Venezuela, and instead he is taking that money and making sure it helps all the people of his country.

geez, what a demon, eh?

you see, Bushco criminal consortium can't have this idea spreading around the globe, now can they. if this idea of fairness...of preventing the super-uber-rich from hoarding what everyone needs...gets around, then how will Dumbya and his co-conspirators continue to line their own pockets with the wealth of the world (the wealth that all workers are creating, though most in the world are not getting their earned share of)?

yes, Hugo Chavez is dangerous alright. just not to you and me.

at all.

it's Bush who needs to be terrified of him.

on edit @ anthony asker: you are priceless, little one. you just jumped to yet another conclusion based on nothing but what you assume - right here in front of god and everyone. now, if you had cared to actually inform yourself before shooting off your mouth, it would have taken you a matter of seconds to discover i'm not a boy.

and to tell you the truth, of all the sources of information i do use, it has never occured to me to hunt for a Cuban paper. is there one in english, i wonder?

tony, the unaware are unaware that they are unaware. pick up the clue phone, sugar. you don't have to believe me - information abounds about Hugo Chavez. but you'll never find the truth on Faux news, sweets.

hey...didja know the Shrub's grandpa did business with the Nazi's when he was building the family fortune? check that one out in the official congressional record of the united states of america, baby.

be prepared to cry when the truth finally hits you in the face.

or are you afraid to carry the burden of knowing...hmmm, scaredy-cat?
