start, settings, control panel, display, and settings again, set it for something like 1152 x 864 pixels. Hopefully this will help your problem. If it really is your fonts, you should be able to adjust them in the program you are working in.

In your internet browser (the window you're looking at right now, probably Internet Explorer), click the VIEW tab, thrid one from the left, all the way at the top of the screen. On the list that pops up, you'll have a choice to change text size from Largest, Large, Medium, Small & Smaller. Most people keep this set at Medium, but feel free to change it according to how you like it. Also in this list, directly above the text size is a zoom feature, if everything on the computer, not just text is too big, try zooming out a little.
If this computer is still regularly used by the seeing impaired person, please remember to change things back when you're done!

Go to the top of your screen to view and select text size. You can reduce or increase it quite easily there.

If fixing fonts on the internet go to "View" then to "Text size" For your computer in general right click on the desktop then go to properties, then to appearance, and then font size.

Assuming Windows XP, put cursor over (Start Menu) right click, select customize select small icons, this should adjust everything.
