i luv to shop.hollister, AE, a&f, aero, all places i wanna shop at...but it raises to me lots uv unanswered questions.

first: with all these 'high fashion designers' around, do u ever wonder y the prices r so high? i mean, think uv all those poor ppl $1000 can help, and here r some ppl blowinin it on a t-shirt!i hav nothing against designers but why do the prices hav to be so high?
maybe, it's cause im young.....

second: who is against using real fur? think uv the animals! im sure pet owners wouldn't want their pets to be a sweater! lol unless they r dying uv some uncurable disease, and there fur will rot when they die, i don't think it's kewol.....

third: will i be considered a snob, or brat if i bought their clothes?
face it.....the way u dress gives ppl an impression uv who u r. im afraid ppl will think uv me differently if i did. personally...i think some designer outfits r kewol, but...

im not trying to offend ppl, but i just want 2 know who else thinks like this...

Honestly it's becuase people will pay for it. Some people want that brand name so badly they'd pay 10x more than a regular shirt or skirt should cost.

The answer is stop shopping there. You don't *need* Aero clothes to look good. I've seen people wear less expensive brands but make them look realy good with accessories, wearing them a different way, etc.

Stop relying on them to tell you how to look good. Read fashion magazines but ignore the names. Just focus on what looks good and why. And then re-create those looks using clothes from reasonably priced places.

> "second: who is against using real fur? "

I agree. It's a nasty, cruel, and unnecessary thing.

> "third: will i be considered a snob, or brat if i bought their clothes? "

No, you're not a snob if you buy expensive clothes. you are a snob if you won't talk to people who wear regular clothes. Or you're a brat if you expect your parents to buy you these overpriced clothes when regular ones are just fine.

As long as you're paying for it 100% out of your own pocket, it's up to you what you want to wear.

Personally as fast as things go out of fashion, I'd never spend $1,000 on any piece of clothing. I'd rather have a nice house & a car I like.... $1k is alot of money.

Yeah I completely agree with you!! I shop at some of the same places as you, but I just don't understand why people would design a shirt that sells for $800, or a $10,000 dress. I love fur stuff for winter because its warm and soft, but I never buy real fur....thinking about those adorable animals makes me so sad. Plus, if you like the designer stuff, then go for it (well as long as u can afford it haha, obviously dont buy designer stuff if you only have like $50 to spend). Personally I'm not all that into designer shirts and stuff, but i think jeans and jackets are fine.

The prices are high because they can be. There is no real reason, but sometimes the material can be high quality but other times, it's not.

Sometimes, even though it claims to be real fur, it's not. I know someone who works at a high end store boasting a high fashion designer's name. He says the clothes are poor quality but people keep coming in because of the name brand.

I only wear clothes from AE and other stores because I like them.

I think the people who shop at A&F and/or Hollister are racists, and the ones who are Asian that shop there are ignorant. Those stores are highly offensive to the Asian community from their past clothing ideas.

Prices are so high on those clothes because there are stupid people who waste their money on a label to present themselves as the "In crowd who can afford it." Those people are feeding their money to greedy rich people who own these companys. The "IN" crowd crap is So far from the truth ..a label does not make a person who they are, their actions do. In my opinion the teenagers who shop there are spoiled or have really low self esteem to constantly try to prove how cool they are by dressing in over priced crap! Anyone has the right to express themselves with clothing and everyone does, I just think that you dont have to spend 25$ dollars on a t-shirt from Hollister to do that. As for Fur I myself would like the Fur to stay on the animals. I find it creepy to walk around in that crap. Nobody would walk around with human skin for fashion so why do it to animals. As for you looking like a snob for buying this stuff...I think you know the answer to that. To some you may appear to be snobbish, to others you may fit right in with their group. Do what it is you feel is right. Would you pay 20 bucks for a manual toothbrush from a ritzy store because it was name brand or would you rather get it at walmart for 2 bucks ..clothes just cover your body and you can get great styles without working these poor children to death in the sweat shops from which the clothes are probably made from anyway no matter what they try to say!!

My daughter loves the same clothes and it kills my bank account, but you know you are paying for their name and they do it because they can. They can charge you an arm and leg to wear their name. And most all the kids in my daughter's class (8th grade) wear the same clothes. My daughter used to wear cheaper clothes, you know like Target or Kohl's, and some rude comments were made about her clothes and she was judged by it unfortunately. This caused her not to be happy in school, and I hated it...kids can be cruel.

It is hard enough to be a teen in today's society without having to worry about some mean kids making fun of your clothes. She is much happier now and the clothes, in all honesty, fit much better than the cheaper clothes. To buy the clothes was my choice. I don't really go to A&F (way too expensive!) she loves Hollister, but only certain clothes, she likes their jeans. And that is what I am paying for, a happy young lady who is confidant in her clothes and likes the way she looks. One less worry for my girl! And it doesn't make her a snob or a brat. If you were someone that always bragged about how expensive your clothes are, then that would make you a snob or brat. Someone who is uncomfortable and looking for acceptance using how much money was spent on an outfit.

Be happy with who you are, wear what you want to wear and don't be arrogant about it.

In regards to your fur question....hate them.

first: the prices are so high because the designers are making way too much money for what they do. it's not like nobody else in the entire world has never thought of a frayed polo shirt or a torn pair of pants. they're just making sure they can get their moneysworth.

second: i am completely against using real fur. you should go to peta2.com and request a free dvd called save #44. there is a thing on there about j.lo's clothing line. its sad. it also has very disturbing and graphic real video of animals who are used for testing.

third: you probably will be judged on what you wear, just because people are asses like that. you should wear what you want to and not care what other people think of you. if they don't like you and have never met you and are judging you based on your outfit, that's their problem, not yours.

Look hun, first of all, you should wear whatever makes you happy, who care what people think. the only reason those brands of clothing are so expensive is the name on the label. I am against real fur too. it's unecessary!!!! the fake stuff looks the same to me. If spending that kind of money on clothes makes you feel good, and happy, i'm all for it!!!! Don't worry about other people, you have to live with you, not them!!!! Shop til you drop if it puts a smile on your face. If your worried about poor people, donate some time to feed the needy, or a homeless shelter. it realy does make you feel good to help others. Good Luck!!!

I'm a bit of a hypocrite when it comes to fur. I wear leather and suede but I refuse to where fur. As to designer clothes, I rarely buy them. The prices are outragous and I can get the same thing at Old Navy or Walmart!

i agree that some of these designers charge to much fo r their clothes, I went to a store and a skirt was 149.00 and the skirt barley covered any of my personals and some designers charge a s much as 800.00 for a freaking scarf I prefer to not stress over fashion especially when the prices are that high

I am against shaving animals and using their fur for any purpose or killing alligators a for a pair of ****** boots. I saw up close how the process is done and I want to scream at designers bend over and lets shave some hair and skin off your *** and see how you like it

Never worry about somone else opinion of you.

Designer clothes are so expensive because of who designed them and the name on the tag. I do believe that the quality is better in most high end clothing. I don't think that these clothes are the only "kewol" ones out there. Hey, thrift shops in certain areas are very trendy!!! Clothes dont make you, and if someone judges you for your clothes, then do you really care? Be yourself, and express yourself. No comment on fur!
